Story: The movie is set in a fictional village Anjanadri which is ruled by an evil person. And because of him, the entire village suffers. Hanumanthu (Teja Sajja) is a small-time thief in Anjanadri. He has an elder sister, Anjamma (Varalaxmi Sarathkumar), who takes care of him. Hanumanthu loves Meenakshi (Amritha Aiyer), who also lives in the same village. In an attempt to save Meenakshi from the evil forces, his path leads him to become a superhero as he gets the powers of Lord Hanuman.  How does he get this power? How does Micheal come to know about this power? What is the connection of Indian epics to all this? To get these answers, one should watch the movie Hanu Man on the silver screen.

 Minus Points:

·         Storyline

·         Editing

Performance: Teja Sajja who plays the role of Hanumanthu is the biggest asset of the film. He impresses with his looks and emotional performances including comedy timing and action. Amritha Aiyer also plays a good role in this film. She impresses with her beautiful looks and performance. Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar who plays the role of Teja Sajja’ sister plays a  powerful role. She delivers a natural performance. Along with them, versatile actor Samuthirakani’s role also surprises. He is perfect in this role. Vinay Roy in the role of villain is ok.  Getup Sreenu, Vennela Kishore, and comedian Satya tickle the fun bones with their mannerisms.

Technical: Prasanth Varma’s vision is superb. Even though the movie has a beaten-to-death concept, Prasanth Varma inserts high moments at regular intervals and keeps the viewers engaged. All the scenes in the film related to Lord Hanuman are well presented. The production values are good in this film. Shivendra’s cinematography is good. He showed huge visuals. And Gauri Harish’s music is next level in the movie. Folk songs is good on screen, and the rest are decent. The editing isn’t great, and a few sequences could have been trimmed. The dialogue is good. Although it is a superhero genre, Prasanth Varma showed some scenes that we have already seen. But here he is super successful in adding our epic to the present time.

Analysis: Overall Hanu Man is an engaging superhero film that has goosebump inducing moments.

 Rating : 3.5/5
