A recent study conducted by the Henry Jackson Society, a think tank, has revealed that Indian students have become victims of anti-Hindu ideology in British schools in UK. The study was led by PhD student Charlotte Littlewood.  The report was prepared based on the opinions of parents of a total of 988 Hindu students. 51 percent of the parents who participated in the survey concluded that their children faced discrimination in schools due to their opposition to Hinduism. It is noteworthy that only one percent stated that they did not face any problem.

Despite widespread discrimination against Hindus in Britain, the survey revealed that only 1 percent of schools reported complaints. Moreover, 81 percent of parents are of the opinion that schools are unable to recognize discrimination against Hindus. In some cases, Hindu students were found to have to endure such harassment for years. The report also revealed that a student from East London had to change schools three times in one year because of this harassment.

It has been found that Indian students under the age of 22 who are studying in various colleges have also faced the same situation. It is known that Karan Kataria, who is doing a master’s degree at the London School of Economics, has recently alleged that he faced discrimination in college. He was accused of campaigning against him because he was a Hindu, who had contested as the general secretary in the student elections.
