Samantha Ruth Prabhu is playing the titular role in an upcoming big budget film Shaakuntalam, which is helmed by Gunasekhar of Rudhramadevi fame. The entire shoot of this much hyped film has been wrapped up and currently the post production work is going on at the brisk pace. Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is playing King Dushyanta. Now according to the latest report, Kabir Duhan Singh will be seen in the role of King Asura in the costume drama Shaakuntalam starring Samantha. Apparently, the director Guansekhar saw his martial art performances and called him. After a look test, the filmmaker felt he was apt for the part.
During the media interaction, Kabir Dhuhan Singh said, “Shaakuntalam was a learning experience for me. I picked up sword fighting. The training came in handy during a war sequence with King Dushyanta in the climax episode.”
Kabir Dhuhan Singh also added, “The head gear weighed around 18 kilos. The shoulder and chest protectors were heavy too, and so was jewellery. The team shot for over 10 days, and I got a few bruises and scratches.”
With Shaakuntalam, Allu Arjun’ daughter Arha is making her acting debut and she is playing Prince Bharata in this film of Samantha.
