It is known that Vijay will be seen playing the lead role in an upcoming film, which is touted to be a social drama, which will be helmed by Vamsi Paidipally and bankrolled by Dil Raju. The shoot of the film has started. Now according to the latest report, Sarath Kumar has been brought on the board to play the important roles in Vamsi Paidipally’ magnum opus. The reports are coming that Sarath Kumar will be seen playing the role of Vijay’ dad. The producer Dil Raju has also revealed that they are planning to release the film on Diwali or Sankranti 2023.
Earlier during an interview, Dil Raju revealed about Thalapathy 66 as he said, “Vamsi Paidipally has come up with a beautiful storyline. When I listened to it, I loved it. Vijay also listened to the story and said that he has not heard a story like this in twently years. If there are no delays in the shoot due to Covid-19, then the film will release on Diwali. If it misses Diwali, it will release on Sankranti 2023.”
On the otherside, Vijay was last seen playing the lead role in action drama Beast which has Pooja Hegde in the female lead. It was released on 13th April and is doing decent collections.
