High Court notices to Tollywood director Raghavendra Rao

Director Raghavendra Rao is in trouble as he received notices from the Telangana High Court. It seems that he has received notices in the controversy related to Obhumi. Raghavendra Rao is facing allegations that he is using the land belonging to the film industry for his own needs. The High Court responded to a PIL filed alleging that director Raghavendra Rao had used the land allocated by the government for the film industry for his own needs. Once again notices have been issued to Raghavendra Rao and his relatives.

2 acres of land in Shakepet in Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad has been allocated by the government for film industry. But it is alleged that the director used it for his own needs rather than for the development of the industry. Meanwhile, the court had previously issued notices on this petition, but as they were not on record as having been received by them, it issued notices again on Thursday. Not only that, the court adjourned the further hearing of the case to January 18.

A person named Balakishan of Medak had filed this PIL in 2012 against Raghavendra Rao. It is stated that the use of 2 acres of land in Survey No.403/1 for commercial purposes is against the rules. A two-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Alok Arathe and Justice NV Shravan Kumar took up the hearing on this petition. The defendants Raghavendra Rao, his relatives Krishnamohan Rao, Chakraborty, Vijayalakshmi, Akhilandeshwari and Lalasa Devi were served notice.
