We have already reported that Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao will star in the Hindi remake of Telugu thriller HIT in which Falaknuma Das and Paagal fame Vishwak Sen played the lead role.

The Hindi version will be helmed by Dr Sailesh Kolanu, who had also directed the original movie and  the investigative thriller will be produced by Dil Raju and Kuldeep Rathore. Now according to the latest report, the Hindi remake of Telugu film Hit was launched today morning with a pooja ceremony.

 Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao, who will be playing the cop. HIT stands for Homicide Intervention Team, is the story of a cop who is on the trail of a missing woman. Rajkummar Rao is excited about the project. Earlier during an interview, he said, “ The film has an engaging story, relevant in today’s environment. As an actor, I am always on the lookout to play characters I have not explored, and HIT gives me a chance to do that. I am looking forward to take this journey with Sailesh and  the producer Dil Raju.”

Sanya Malhotra has been roped in and she will play the female lead in Rajkummar Rao starrer the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Hit.
