Late Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar was known not only as an actor but also as a great humanitarian. No one else has done as much service as he did at such a young age. Puneeth left this world on October 29 last year. His family, friends, and fans still can’t believe that he is gone. To celebrate Puneeth Rajkumar’s first birthday, a day earlier on October 28, his starrer ‘Gandhada Gudi’ was released on a grand scale in Karnataka.
All the celebrities who came to the premiere show in Bangalore on October 27 night got emotional talking about Puneeth. The government has given a tax exemption for this movie. All Kannada people will pay tribute to Puneeth Rajkumar’s first anniversary. On this occasion, a 21 feet fiberglass statue was prepared in memory of Puneeth. Sculptors Katuri Venkateswara Rao, Ravichandra and Sriharsha from Tenali area of Guntur district in AP prepared a huge statue of Puneeth Rajkumar with fiberglass.
The 21 feet high statue was made with ‘3D’ technology after four months of hard work. It is known that the Karnataka government will give the prestigious ‘Karnataka Ratna’ award in honor of Puneeth Rajkumar on November 1. A statue of Puneeth Fiber will be displayed in that event. Presently Puneeth’s fiber statue is on display at the local Surya Shilpasa in Tenali.
Recently Tenali MLA Annabathuni Sivakumar unveiled the statue and congratulated the artisans who made the statue wonderfully. Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said that Superstar Rajinikanth and Young Tiger NTR are going to participate in the Puneeth program to be held on November 1. Huge arrangements are being made as movie celebrities and fans are coming from other states and industries.
