Police seized a total of Rs 1.52 crore hawala money in four different places in Hyderabad on Monday.
Sivaram from Sivarampally of Rangareddy district deals in real estate. Mohammed Mansoor, who is working as a driver for him, has hawala relations with Bhavesh Kumar of Nallakunta area. Both of them evade taxes and do illegal cash transactions. In this order, Sivaram and Bhavesh were caught by the Central Zone Task Force police in Nallakunta on Sunday evening while they were transporting a large amount of cash from customers in a jeep. Police seized Rs 34.50 lakh in illegal cash from Shivaram and Bhavesh while checking the vehicles. Later they were taken into custody and taken to Ram Gopal Peta Police Station for further investigation.
Jagadgirigutta police have seized the cash that was being moved against the rules. On Monday, the police conducted vehicle inspections in Asbestos Colony. In this sequence, the police checked a suspicious car and found Rs1.48 lakh in cash. The police confiscated the money as they did not show the correct documents related to the cash.
Dundigal Police on Monday at Gandimaisamma Square, Medchal SOT Police conducted vehicle checks. In this order, the police stopped a young man named Arvind Singh who was carrying Rs.17.4 lakhs on a two-wheeler. Due to the lack of proper documents related to this money, the police seized the money and took a person named Arvind Singh to Dundigal Police Station.
Chandanagar police found a person named Nagaraju of Hafiz Pate Marthanda Nagar carrying Rs.99 lakh in his car without proper documents during the vehicle checks carried out by the police on Gangaram Pradana road under Chandanagar police station.
