Two people sent friend request to two girls on social media. The girls accepted it. Chatting continued between them for some time. Later they talked on video calls. Both of them morphed these videos and blackmailed and raped the girl. This incident took place in Hyderabad. The accused were arrested by the police.
CP Sandeep Sandilya disclosed the details to the media at Banjara Hills Police Command Control Center on Saturday. He said that the social media accounts of two girls in the city received friend requests from two different people. They said that the girls accepted them. It has been revealed that the friendship between them has increased.
After some time they talked on video calls in the name of friendship. But at this time, without the knowledge of the girl, those people recorded the video chatting and saved it. The videos were morphed. The girls were made to look n…ed. They were sent to the girls. They started blackmailing based on those videos. They were raped after threatening to release them.
After this incident, one of the victims became depressed. Instead of going to write exams, she remained silent and stayed at home. Her mother noticed this. She asked what happened. This came out when the victim girl told the whole matter to her mother. Another victim girl has also lodged a complaint with the police. After this, the police entered the scene and arrested the accused.
