The lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus has seen many Indians lose their jobs. Our country India has been in lockdown since 25 March to curb Covid-19 infections, causing mass layoffs and heavy job losses. The companies across various sectors have announced massive layoffs and the experts predict that many businesses are likely to shut shop altogether.

One of the most affected is the film industry as the theatres are closed and so many have lost their jobs. The theatres in India are still closed and there seems no light at the end of the tunnel. Trade expert Girish Johar revealed that an employee of the Hyderabad Prasad IMAX theatre ended his life by committing suicide.

Prasad Imax is one of the most happening destinations in Hyderabad. But it is closed for over six months now.  52 years old Bhaskar, who was a theater operator at Imax committed suicide after he found out that he would not be getting his salary from next month onwards.

From the month of March, the multiplex owners were paying half salaries to their employees but as they are facing losses in crores. They decided to stop salaries. Looks like this decison has taken a toll on Bhaskar who committed suicide.
