Due to heavy rains in Hyderabad city on Thursday evening, canals overflowed in many parts of the city. In this sequence, a woman fell into the canal and died in Secunderabad area.
A Woman accidentally fell into canal due to heavy rains in Hyderabad. Locals who tried to save the woman were swept away due to the high speed of the current. A woman’s body was found about a kilometer away.
A woman (45) who was begging in the Skandagiri temple accidentally fell into the canal when she tried to cross the canal at Dood well during the rain on Thursday evening. Locals took the notice of the local corporator Rasuri Sunitha about the woman being washed away in the canal.
After the corporator informed the officials of DRF and GHMC, the officials started searching. Finally, the dead body of the woman was found at Amber Nagar under Warasiguda Police Station. The body of the woman was found three kilometers away from the place where she fell into the canal.
The dead body was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary. Warasiguda Inspector P. Shankar said that the complete details of the deceased woman are not yet known and the details will be disclosed after the investigation.
