Namrata Shirodkar met Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu on the sets of the 2000 Telugu hit Vamsi. They spent some quality time on the sets of the film and by the end of the shooting, it is said that they had started dating each other. After being in a relationship for four years, the love birds tied the knot on February 10, 2005. Recently Namrata talked about her husband and said, “Mahesh and I know each other completely. We can spend any number of days without any connection with the outside world. “ She also revealed that she likes the movies Murari, Ahu, Ekodu and Pokiri. Mahesh Babu decides everything regarding movies.
Namrata added, “I understand Telugu but I have some difficulty in speaking Telugu. I prefer to be Mahesh Babu’ wife than as a heroine.
She further said, “ I can’t compare Krishna and Mahesh Babu, I like them both.” After marriage Namrata is away from movies but the fans know that Namrata’s is behind Mahesh Babu’s unexpected success. Mahesh is currently acting in a big budget movie directed by Trivikram Srinivas in which he will share the screen space with dusky siren Pooja Hegde.
