RP Patnaik took Tollywood music by storm in Okanoka Time. There are many RP songs that are still evergreen. He scored the music for many super hit musical hits like Jayam, Manasantha Nuvve, Sambaram, Dil, Santosham. As the popularity of RP music has decreased, he scored the music for films till 2016 and later he stopped.
RP Patnaik is occasionally seen in film functions, events, interviews. Speaking in a recent interview, he said that there are very few regrets in his life. RP Patnaik said, “I felt sad for singing songs for Mahesh Babu.” RP Patnaik said that in his career, he feels regret only when it comes to singing in film. He said, “Due to some unexpected circumstances while composing the music for the movie Nizhal, I sang most of the songs with singer Usha. But Mahesh Babu’s voice was not set for me, his voice was a kiddish voice.” That’s why Patnaik thought that he should not sing songs for this film.
Not only that, RP Patnaik said that many people called him during the film time and told him the same thing.
He stopped doing music for almost seven years. He decided that if many boys were experimenting in music, he should not venture into music. He is sticking to the decision. Let’s hope RP Patnaik gets busy with a good movie soon.
