Recently, Taapsee Pannu had spoken out against the way women were portrayed in South movies, recalling a shot from her debut Telugu film, in which a coconut was thrown at her navel.
Later Big Boss fame Hina Khan also made sensational comments on South movies. Now another actress is accusing that south film industries are completely obsessed with heroines body rather anything else. She is none other than Goan beauty Ileana D’Cruz. She made use of the Navel thing again to get attention for her upcoming film ‘Raid’ promotions in which Ajay Devgn is playing the lead role. Once again, she tried to highlight the topic of navel show. She said, “I never understood how films were made when I was working in South Film Industry. In my first ever shot (Devadasu) a big shell was dropped on my belly and director said to me that it would look beautiful. Each time the film makers told me I got a very attractive waist. It’ll look pretty and it’s very feminine, but I truly didn’t understand it.”
Talking about Southern film industry’s obsession with navel, Julai and Jalsa actress Ileana maintains that nothing much has changed even today. According to her, she has not faced such embarrassing situations in Bollywood.
