Cyclone Tej has already become alarming in the Arabian Sea. The Indian Meteorological Department has revealed that this cyclone will intensify in the next few hours. On the other hand, low pressure is currently continuing in the Bay of Bengal. The IMD has clarified that if it turns into a cyclone, it will be named as ‘Hamoon’ cyclone.

Cyclone in Bay of Bengal : “Cyclone Tej is continuing to intensify in Southwest Arabian Sea. It will intensify by Sunday afternoon. From there, this cyclone is likely to travel towards Oman,” the IMD said.

“A depression has formed over southwest and northeast Bay of Bengal on Friday. It is expected to become more intense by Monday. It has not turned into a cyclone as of now,” the IMD said.

It is very rare for two separate cyclones to emerge simultaneously in India. This happened in 2018.

But the IMD says that there is no need for people to panic because of this typhoon Tej and Hamun. It is estimated that their impact on India will be less. Coastal areas of Tamil Nadu along with Chennai have been advised to be cautious. Otherwise , it has been clarified that there may be thundershowers for a few days in Kerala and Central Tamil Nadu . It suggests that it would be better if the authorities were a little more vigilant.
