The war between Israel and Hamas continues continuously. Thousands of people have died in this war. Meanwhile, an important resolution was passed in the United Nations against the Israeli settlements in Palestine. However, 7 countries including America and Canada opposed this proposal while 18 countries were absent during the voting. According to sources, India voted in favor of the amendment and got 88 votes in favor of the proposal, but the required two-thirds majority did not get the proposal.

Government sources said that India’s decision on the proposal was based on its consistent policies on the issue. Referring to the attacks by Hamas on Israel, the sources said that India has made it clear that no agreements will be made on the issue of terrorism. Explaining New Delhi’s vote, India’s Deputy Permanent Representative, Yojana Patel, said that our sympathies are with those held hostage. We call for their immediate and unconditional release.
