B town actress Alia Bhatt is playing the role of a prostitute/s*x worker in an upcoming big budget much hyped movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, which is gearing up for the grand release. The movie, which is helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, will be premiered at the Berlin Film Festival as well, besides releasing in theatres worldwide.
Alia Bhatt, the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt plays a feisty brothel owner and matriarch in Gangubai Kathiawadi. This is Alia Bhatt’ third film to have its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. Recently during the media interaction, Ali Bhatt revealed that this is that kind of film which is an Indian story and will appeal to everyone. She genuinely believes Gangubai has that potential, it is that story.
Alia Bhatt further said, “Even when my father Mahesh Bhatt saw that film Gangubai Kathiawadi, he was like ‘this international crowd will be very impressed with this film’. This is all before we had any idea about the Berlin and it worked out.” Number of celebrities have already showered the praises on Alia Bhatt after watching the recently released trailer of Gangubai Kathiawadi.
On the otherside, Alia Bhatt is making her debut in Tollywood with SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR which is bringing two top stars- Jr NTR and Ram Charan together on the screen.
