It is known that Chandrayaan-3 created history by stepping on the South Pole of the Moon. The rover that came out of the lander in Chandrayaan-3 sent by ISRO is engaged in its work. ISRO also shared an interesting video from the launch of Chandrayaan-3. On Friday, it shared another interesting video. In the video shared by ISRO, we can see the scenes of rover Pragyan stepping on the lunar surface from lander Vikram.

 ISRO tweeted: All activities are on schedule and all the systems are normal. Lander Module payloads ILSA, RAMBHA and ChaSTE are turned ON  and Rover mobility operations have commenced. SHAPE payload on the Propulsion Module was turned ON on Sunday and heres is how the Lander Imager Camera captured the moon’s image just prior to touchdown. And here is how the Chandrayaan-3 Rover ramped down from the Lander to the Lunar surface.

 Earlier, ISRP also posted a photograph of Chandrayaan-3 Lander on the moon’ surface, clicked by Chandrayaan2 ‘ Orbiter High Resolution Camera.

SAC of ISRO and PRL have made crucial contributions to the Chandrayaan-3 Moon mission. Both the institutions were founded in Ahmedabad by Dr Vikram Sarabhai, the father of India’s space programme. SAC played a crucial role in the landing process as it has developed a number of sensors on board the lander, including hazard detection and avoidance camera and processing algorithm.
