It’s a known fact that Pakistan is desperately trying to bring down the decision of India’s abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (A) decision. Pak has pulled up the support of the neighboring countries like the US and China for this. The churning update is that both Pakistan and China had received a jolt in the United States on Jammu and Kashmir issue. United States Security Council (UNSC) has nodded for an informal meeting over the issue but hasn’t accepted for the table debate. During this meet, Pak was backed by China strongly however, Russia, UK, France have supported India.
Especially, Russia has strongly supported India and concluded that J&K is a bilateral issue in where both the countries should opt for a dialogue debate while the other countries should stay away. Before this, Pakistan made efforts to gather support from the US in where Pak PM Khan called in US President Donald Trump but Trump reportedly said J & K is an issue of two countries and should resolve it bilaterally.
Later the Pak tried to gather support from UN permeable members where it has failed there too. Post this, India’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Syed Akbaruddin spoke to Pak media where it tried to attack him but he stood firm to answer it saying, “J&K is an internal matter. The recent decisions taken by the Government of India are intended to ensure that good governance is promoted, social-economic development”.
