The 17th Additional Chief Magistrate of Nampally has announced a sensational verdict in a defamation case against the couple of film actors Jeevitha and Rajasekhar. On Tuesday, the court hearing the defamation suit filed against the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank sentenced the couple to one year in jail and fined Rs 5,000.
It is known that Chiranjeevi is serving many people by providing blood to those who need it through blood bank. However, Jeevitha and Rajasekhar have commented that the blood collected by the blood bank run by Megastar Chiranjeevi is being sold in the market. In a press meet in 2011, Jeevitha Rajasekhar made sensational allegations against Chiranjeevi Blood Bank.
Taking their comments seriously, film producer Allu Aravind approached the court. He expressed his anger that many service programs are going on in the name of Chiranjeevi and many people are getting help and Jeevitha Rajasekhar has made such comments to disturb the honor of Chiranjeevi. A defamation suit was filed against Jeevitha Rajasekhar for making false allegations against Chiranjeevi Trust and programs running in the name of Chiranjeevi.
After a lengthy trial, the Nampally court finally delivered its verdict. The couple Jeevitha and Rajasekhar paid the fine and were granted bail.
