Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer Jersey turned out to be a disappointing affair at the box office.  It was remake of the Telugu film of same title in which Natural Star Nani and Shraddha Srinath played the lead roles. The sports drama Jersey opened to rave reviews with Shahid’s performance getting all the love and appreciation. However, the film failed miserably at the box office . Jersey’s debacle left the entertainment industry shocked, the unfortunate and disappointing result. But  now according to the latest report, Pakistan cricket player Mohammad Amir took to Twitter and applauded the film Jersey and showered praises on the performance of Shahid Kapoor.

Mohammad Amir tweeted, “Shahid Kapoor what a beautiful and inspiring film great work brother. Jersey.”

However, the film didn’t run well at the box office in India and turned out a flop but it is receiving applause from Pakistan.  The movie is helmed by Gautam Tinnauri and funded  by Dil Raju, S Naga Vamsi and Aman Gill, whereas the film has the music of Sachet and Parampara. Anirudh Ravichander took care of the BGM.

Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey also features Pankaj Kapoor in a key role, who stepped into the shoes of Sathyaraj for the remake.
