It is known news that the young and energetic actor Ram Pothineni is currently busy in the shoot of upcoming action-drama Red, which is a remake of Tamil film Thadam. The movie Red is being helmed by Kishore Tirumala and the makers are planning to release the film during summer. On the other hand, the Hindi remake of Thadam is also confirmed with young hero Siddharth Malhotra a few weeks ago. Now, the makers have locked the female lead and she is none other than Mrunal Thakur.
Mrunal Thakur will romance with Sidharth Malhotra in the Hindi remake of Tamil film Thadam. Super 30 and Ghost Stories actress Mrunal Thakur will play a police officer in the remake whereas Sidharth Malhotra will make his screen presence in a dual role where he will be seen as a suave businessman and a rookie thief. To be helmed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar, the movie is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, and it will hit the theaters on 20th November.
The movie is all about the cat-and-mouse chase between the cop chasing the identical-looking businessman and a thief.
Mrunal Thakur is currently shooting for the remake of Nani starrer Jersey, where she will star opposite Kabir Singh fame Shahid Kapoor. She will also be seen alongside Abhimanyu Dasani in Aankh Mincholi.
