It was heard that Kantara, a Kannada film starring Rishab Shetty that had received praise from critics and audiences, would soon be available on the OTT platform. The film was initially released in Kannada, but due to overwhelming popular demand, Rishab Shetty’ film was dubbed in several languages.  The movie written and directed by Rishab Shetty, is expected to be one of the highest-grossing Kannada films of all time.

The village drama Kantara was sold to Amazon Prime and as per the news, the makers have canceled the OTT deal. And they have started fresh negotiations with the OTT giant. This news is yet to be made official.

 Kantara, helmed by the actor Rishab Shetty himself, was supposed to be out on the 4th of November. As the movie is making solid money, they do not want the movie  to be out on OTT and have postponed the release.

Kantara has turned out to be a massive blockbuster as Kantara has grossed over Rs 200 cr worldwide and become the third highest-grossing Kannada film of all time behind the two blockbuster KGF series, starring Yash and helmed by Prashanth Neel. The film’s Hindi version has even raced ahead of the Hindi version of Mani Ratnam’s epic historical fiction Ponniyin Selvan, which has grossed over Rs 450 crat the global box office.
