Nikhil Siddhartha starrer upcoming mystery thriller, Karthikeya 2 will head to theatres on 22nd July. Yesterday on the occasion of producer Abhishek Aggarwal ‘ birthday, the makers announced the release date of the film. It is helmed by Chandoo Mondeti whose ‘Bloody Mary’ will stream on AHA from 15th April, and bankrolled by Abhishekh Agerwal under the banner of Abhishek Aggarwal Arts and TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory today . Going by the release date poster, it is confirmed that ZEE5, a leading OTT platform, grabbed the digital rights of Nikhil Siddharth starrer investigative thriller drama Karthikeya 2. It is also confirmed that ZEE Telugu owned the satellite rights of Karthikeya 2.
Anupama Parameswaran is playing the female lead in this film which has Kaala Bhairava’s music. Karthik Ghattamaneni cranked the camera for the movie. The upcoming drama is said to be a part of the Karthikeya franchise and not a sequel to the 2014 film Karthikeya, which became a super hit at the box office.
It is touted to be a mythological thriller with some incidents dating back 5000 years. Nikhil Siddhartha is playing the role of a doctor. The Kashmir Files fame Anupam Kher has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Nikhil and Anupama starrer.
