Yesterday, four people were tested positive for novel coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir. Our country India has reported 14 deaths across the various parts of the country. Now according to the latest update, a 65 years old man, an Islamic preacher from the Hyderpora neighbourhood of Srinagar, died due to coronavirus infection today.  He died today morning at the Government Chest Disease Hospital in the city.  This is the first death reported from J & K.

The man had recently travelled around the country, visited mosques in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh’ Deoband before coming back to home on 16th March.

All of four people had come in contact with the patient who died in Srinagar today, Jammu and Kashmir Principal Secretary Rohit Kansal confirmed the death of old man.

The total number of active coronavirus cases in J & K is now 11, with 1 person having been discharged after treatment.

Yesterday, Tamil Nadu reported its 1st coronavirus death after a 54 years old man died in Madurai. The deaths due to Covid-19 were reported from various states of India including West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, Punjab and Tamil Nadu.

2 more deaths linked to the COVID-19, Corona virus were reported today, with Maharashtra confirming its 4th death in the outbreak
