The police have arrested Telugu film critic Kathi Mahesh, who also acted in a few films, for making derogatory comments against Lord Rama.
Sleuths of Cyber Crime Hyderabad arrested Kathi Mahesh, today on 14th August for his derogatory post on Facebook against Lord Rama. According to the latest update, the police took Kathi Mahesh into custody and conducted medical tests at Osmania General hospital where he underwent coronavirus tests. Later, he was produced before Nampally court. And the Court sent the controversial film critics for 14 days remand.
Cybercrime police filed a case under section 153 (A) of the communal act. Earlier, Kathi Mahesh made controversial comments and was banished from Hyderabad for six months for hurting religious sentiments. In 2018, he was booked by the police on a complaint lodged by leaders of Hindu Janasakthi alleging that he made the offensive comments during a debate on a television channel. The case was registered against him for hurting religious sentiments and promoting enmity and hatred. He was issued notices not to enter the city without permission from the police. And this time he has been arrested.
In past, Kathi Mahesh has faced the ire of Power Star Pawan Kalyan‘s fans for his comments on Power Star. They also had attacked him at Prasad Imax, Necklace Road, Hyderabad.
