Keerthy Suresh is sharing the screen space with Kollywood star Vijay in upcoming much awaited movie Sarkar, being directed by AR Murugadoss. Recently Keerthy Suresh made announcement on her Twitter about the first single ‘Simtaangaran’ of Sarkar, which is a folk number. The single has been out and Vijay’s fans are very happy. But the lyrical video is receiving negative response by the music lovers. Finally both Keerthy Suresh and Vijay became fail in their test.
Thalapathy Vijay and Keerthy Suresh’s Simtaangaran track is not a foot-tapping number. The 4.42 minute track has failed to live up to the expectations. It looks like the music director AR Rahman has experimented with the music and disappointed the audiences. But the single is creating the records on youtube, as it has got 3.1 million views in 4.5 hours and this credit goes to Vijay’s fans. This news is confirmed by the production house Sun Pictures, they wrote on Twitter, “The real time views for #Simtaangaran on YouTube is a whopping 3.1 million views in 4.5 hours!”
The stills in the lyrical video of Simtaangaran show that the song is set against a beach backdrop with Vijay and Keerthy Suresh dancing in sync with the folk beats.
Simtaangaran song is crooned by Bamba Bakya, Vipin Aneja, Aparna Narayanan whereas the lyrics are penned by Vivek.
The trade analyst Haricharan Pudipeddi wrote on the wall of Twitter, “#SIMTAANGARAN – A flat track that neither impresses with its tune nor lyrics. Even after multiple listens, it’s hard to like it. Wish the team had chosen a better track as the first song. [sic]”
