
Two legends Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are going to reunite 35 years after their classic gangster film Nayakan for a new movie. The duo is all set to create cinematic charisma once again. The actor portrayed the lead character, which was inspired by gangster Vardh Rajan. The film is considered one of the classic gangster movies made in Indian cinema. The production house red giant confirmed the news on the actor’ birthday eve.
The Universal Hero Kamal Haasan, who is only a month away from completion of Indian 2, will once again work with Mani Ratnam in his new project. More details regarding the cast and crew will be announced very soon. The year 2022 was special for both Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan as their movies Ponniyin Selvan – 1 and Vikram turned out blockbuster at the box office.
Currently Kamal Haasan is working for Indian 2 which is is directed by Shakar and also stars Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal and Siddharth.
Kamal Haasan who started his career as a child actor with Kalathur Kanamma (1960), remains a source of inspiration for many despite the emergence of younger stars. It is known that legendary filmmaker K Balachander served as Kamal’s mentor during his initial years in the Tamil film industry.
