Kodi Ramakrishna passes away

Kodi Ramakrishna passes awayTollywood director Kodi Ramakrishna has passed away today. Kodi Ramakrishna, who was known for movies like Arundathi and Anji has died at a private hospital in Hyderabad.  Doctors who examined the filmmaker revealed that he died due to lung infection. Ever since the tragic news broke, condolences have been pouring in on the social media.

Yesterday  the director complained of breathlessness and was rushed to AIG Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. He was put on life support and monitored by a battery of doctors including general physician, neurology and cardiologist.

It is to be noted that Kodi Ramakrishna earlier suffered a heart attack and paralytic attack, a few years ago. In a career spanning three decades, he has directed about 100 films across genres. He has worked as a filmmaker and screenwriter in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil films. His popular movies are  Intlo Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya, Mangamma Gari Anji, Bharat Bandh and Srinivasa Kalyanam, Manavadu, Thalambralu, Aahuthi, Bharatamlo Bala Chandrudu, Station Master, Muddula Mavayya, Maa Aavida Collector, Pelli, and Dongaata.

Kodi Ramakrishna has also directed Spy films such as, Gudachari No.1, and Gudachari 117. He has helmed supernatural Fantasy films such as, Ammoru, Devi, Devullu, Devi Putrudu, Anji and Arundhati which won ten state Nandi Awards, and two Filmfare Awards South, and became the second highest grossing Telugu film for that year.

Kodi Ramakrishna has also acted in few movies like Dongata, Attagaaroo Swagatam, Inti Donga, Aasti Mooredu Aasha Baaredu,  and Mudilla Muchata.
