Tollywood is a hero-centric industry. Top heroes from this industry take away all the limelight for their movies. Even remunerations are said to be much higher for heroes than any other technician or actor. Even top directors in the industry cannot match the might of the top actors’ remuneration. The only director who is in exception in this list is Maverick director SS Rajamouli. This ace director who put Telugu Cinema on top with Baahubali has been taking top remuneration when directors are considered.
For Baahubali, it is said that the director has taken 50 Crores remuneration which is combined for two films. Now for RRR alone, Rajamouli is said to have taken around 30 Crores alone. Even if he took 20 Crores it is the highest for directors by a large margin. The next director who comes in this list is undoubtedly Koratala Shiva.
This director is completely different from Rajamouli when compared to thinking or taking. But one thing they have in common is that both the directors have cent percent success record, though Koratala Siva had only done four films to date. For his movie with Megastar Chiranjeevi, Koratala Shiva is said to have taken 15 Crores as remuneration. Matinee Entertainments is producing the film in association with Ram Charan.
Though there are other directors who are taking hefty paycheques, their remunerations are decided based on their success. There is another director who is coming in the lines of these two. Anil Ravipudi is also enjoying a 100 percent success record. He is currently busy wrapping up Sarileru Neekevvaru with Mahesh Babu. If this film manages to be successful, then Anil will also emerge as the most sought after director.
