Krish, who is known for his directorial ventures Gamyam, Kanche and Gauthamiputra Satakarni, planned to make a blockbuster in Hindi with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi starring National award winning actress Kangana Ranaut and shoot NTR biopic in Telugu, simultaneously, did not yield him better results at the box office. The controversy surrounding Manikarnika that involved Kangana Ranaut and Krish, fighting about the direction credits and content, did help the movie recover some amounts. Currently Krish is working for a small budget film in which Vaishnav Tej is playing the lead role. It is a village based drama and has Rakul Preet Singh in the lead role.
The entire film of Vaishnav Tej and Rakul Preet Singh was shot in and around Vikarabad forests. Now according to the latest update, Krish has locked the title Kondapolam for Vaishnav Tej starrer.
Vaishnav Tej starrer upcoming film is based on novel ‘Kondapolam’ which was penned by Sannapu Reddy Venkat Ramireddy. The novel ‘Kondapolam’ is all about the lives of the villagers who live on the hills along with their cattle and sheep. Going with the news, Krish retained the title of the novel and got it registered for Vaishnav Tej starrer.
Currently Kondapolam, which is bankrolled by Krish’s home production First Frame Entertainments, is in the final stages of post-production.
