Sangeetha, the Tamil actress, who is also the well known face for Telugu audiences is making her comeback in Telugu Film Industry with Srikanth starrer upcoming movie Telangana Devadu, a political drama based on Telangana CM KCR’s life. In Tollywood, Sangeetha was last seen in Cara Majaka, which was released in 2010. After tying the knot with Singer Krish in 2009 at the Arunachaleshwarar Temple in Thiruvannamalai, the actress said bye-bye to the Tollywood. But now Kirsh’s wife is making her comeback in Tollywood after a long gap of 8 years. The couple have a daughter Shiviya born in 2012.
Making her acting debut in the mid-1990s, Sangeetha is best known for her performances in the films Khadgam, Pithamagan, Uyir and Dhanam. She made her Telugu debut with Asala Sandadi in 1999. Later Sangeetha delivered number of Telugu movies like Navvuthu Bathakalira, Khadgam, Ee Abbai Chala Manchodu, Sankranthi, Naa Oopiri, Bahumati and Maa Ayana Chanti Pilladu.
Recently the makers of Telangana Devudu released a trailer. Sangeetha is playing the female lead in this upcoming political drama, which is being directed by Harish and bankrolled by Mohammad Zakir Usman. Zeeshan Usman and Suman played important roles in the film. Andhra based hero Srikanth is playing the role of Chief Minister of Telangana state- KCR. It is all about the story of how this man fought for the welfare of Telangana people and brought them into the bright light from the crutches of Andhra politicians.
As the movie is based on KCR’s life, the makers want to wrap it as soon as possible and release before 1st December. As the voting date is sate for 7th December, they think that the film Telangana Devadu staring Srikanth and Sangeetha, will be a huge game changer. The makers are not using original names of the politician in this film.
