Lakshmi Manchu, the daughter of Mohan Babu, made her acting debut with the American television series Las Vegas, where she played the minor role of Sarasvati Kumar, the love interest of James Lesure. She is not only the actress, but also a producer, and television presenter who works in Telugu cinema and worked in American television.

She started her career at the age of 4, she has been in 20 feature films in India and few minor television roles in the US. She was last seen in Netflix’ Pitta Kathalu in 2021. Yesterday on the occasion of Women’ day, Manchu Lakshmi talked about facing s*xism, typecast, casting couch in her career in the film industry.

Lakshmi Manchu said, “These are things you have to deal with. Be it from the banking, acting or IT industry, I know a lot of women from different industries and they  are facing it everywhere. Yes, I face this all the time. Initially, I did not think that all of these would happen to me because I was the daughter of actor Mohan Babu, and  I was born and raised in the film  industry but they are ruthless.”

Lakshmi Manchu concluded it by saying that she has a lot of love for life and she wants to do a lot of different things.
