Charmee Kaur is one of the producers of recently released sport based drama Liger starring the young Telugu sensation Vijay Deverakonda and Bollywood actress Ananya Panday, which was released on 25th August and is turning out a disaster at the box office. Recently during the media interaction Charmee Kaur spoke about the failure of Liger and said, “ The movie lovers have access to better content in one click just by sitting at home.
The whole family can watch the big budget films on television, and until you don’t really excite them, they are not coming to the cinema halls to watch the movie. But, this is not the case in Telugu film Industry. Recently released three Telugu films – Kalyan Ram starrer Bimbisara, Dulquer Salmaan’ Sita Ramam, and Nikhil Siddharth’ Karthikeya 2 earned Rs 150–170 cr. It is difficult to understand. It is the scary and depressing situation.””
Liger which has boxing Legend Mike Tyson in the role of cameo, is directed by Puri Jagannadh, and co produced Karan Johar in association with Puri and Charmme Kaur. Karan Johar presented the film in Hindi across the northern region.
On the otherside, Vijay Deverakonda will be next seen playing the lead role in Kushi and Jana Gana Mana.
