The voting for electing the president, the new executive body for the term of two years of MAA 2021 started on Sunday morning. The who’s who of the Telugu film industry descended on the Jubilee Hills Public School to cast their votes. Manchu Vishnu and Prakash Raj are contesting for the president post. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Power Star Pawan Kalyan expressed hope that divisiveness caused by the poll campaign would come to an end with elections and cooler heads would prevail. After casting the vote, megastar Chiranjeevi interacted with media and said, “I think we should consider this election as an aberration and as a new normal. Such things are not good. It was very unfortunate and we will try to avoid such situations in the future.” Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna today cast his vote going to the Jubilee Hills Public School where the polling is underway.
Balakrishna said, “ Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu are contesting the elections are like brothers. Both are men of words. I cast my vote to those whom I felt will come with good work. The excitement of both the parties is making me feel that who ever wins will do good for the film industry. whoever wins we support them and encourage them.”
Mega Power Star Ram Charan, Naga Babu, Nithya Menen, Genelia were among those who showed up to cast their votes. The winners will be announced today itself.
