The much-anticipated film Mahanati will tell the life story of iconic actress Savitri, who made a mark in the South film industries. To portray late iconic Tamil actress Savitri, Malayalam actress Keerthi Suresh, is slowly transforming into the character. A variety of sarees including Mangalgiri, Kota, Kaithiri and Shiffon were used to best match Savitri’s. Mahanati- The much anticipated biopic will also feature Dulquer Salmaan, who will depict the legendary character of Gemini Ganeshan, the husband of Savitri. The entire shoot of Mahanati has been already wrapped up.
According to the latest update, the makers are going to release the first single ‘Mooga Manasulu’ from the film today on 20th April at 6 pm. The film has the music by Mickey J Meyer.
Samantha Akkineni is playing the role of a journalist Madhuravani. It is said that audience will get to know the story of Savitri through the eyes of Madhurvani.
The film is also being simultaneously made in Tamil as Nadigaiyar Thilagam. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Krish and Vijay Devarakonda. Few other leading celebrities like Naga Chaitanya have reportedly played cameo in the film.
