Mahanati: Savitri biopic- The biggest mistake

Mahanati: Savitri biopic- The biggest mistakeMahanati– the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, directed by Nag Ashwin has hit the theaters yesterday i.e 9th May in a very grand manner. Keerthy Suresh played the titular role whereas  Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan was seen as Gemini Ganesan. People are appreciating the performance of  Keerthy Suresh and the creative work of  director Nag Ashwin.  Number of celebrities (Rajamouli, Atlee, Vamshi Paidipally, Rana Daggubati, Samantha, Brahmaji) and politician (KCR) are showering their praises on Mahanati. But some senior journalist and industry elders are pointing out some mistakes in Mahanati.

Industry elders are saying that Nag Ashwin has made a mistake of showing SV Ranga Rao instead of Gummadi as an actor who feeds  legendary actress Savitri after returning from shooting in her bad days.

Mohan Babu played the role of SV Ranaga Rao. Recently Rana Daggubati released the special teaser  from Mahanati that gave an introduction  to SVR. Rana tweeted, “He told us tales of Gods and warriors, he taught us morals and attitudes all thru his portrayal in cinema the “One and Only S V Ranga Rao!!” Now Presenting to you our very own “Nata Kiriti Mohan Babu Garu” as SVR in#Mahanati (sic)”

The makers  of Mahanati also did one blunder mistake  as they showed SV Ranga Rao being alive in 1980 though he was expired on 18 July 1974 due to cardiac arrest.
