Bollywood film maker Mahesh Bhatt, the father of Alia Bhatt underwent a heart surgery a few days ago in Mumbai hospital. Mahesh was not feeling well and after his health deteriorated, the filmmaker complained of uneasiness. The film maker was rushed to the nearby hospital where he has suggested heart surgery after check-up. Son Rahul Bhatt revealed that he is doing ‘alright now’.
Rahul Bhatt revealed that his father was taken to the hospital 4 days ago where he underwent a heart surgery. He is now back home and he is recovering.
Rahul Bhatt confirmed that his father Mahesh Bhatt was admitted to the hospital for a few days due to his heart surgery. No other family members, including Soni Razdan, daughters Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt have commented on the matter.
On the professional front, the fim maker Mahesh Bhatt has 1920: Horrors of Heart in pipeline. Written by him, the upcoming film has Avika Gor, Randheer Rai in the lead roles, which is bankrolled by Vikram Bhatt and helmed by his daughter Krishna Bhatt.
Mahesh Bhatt is director, producer and screenwriter known for his works in Bollywood. A stand-out film from his earlier period is Saaransh screened at the 14th Moscow International Film Festival. 1986 film Naam starring Sanjay Dutt was his first piece of commercial cinema. In 1987, he turned producer with the film Kabzaa under the banner, Vishesh Films, with his brother Mukesh Bhatt.
