On the 18th of this month, the Ganesh Chaturthi day, the devotees bid farewell to the Ganesh. In almost all parts of Telugu states after Navratri, Lord Ganesha is immersed on tenth day or eleventh day. But in the city of Hyderabad, as the number of Ganesha idols is high, immersion starts from the third day. As Saturday was the weekend and the five days were over, immersion celebrations were in full swing in many colonies.

Ganesha devotees showed their sense of service by organizing food donation programs at the Mandapalas. Also, Utti Kotta programs were organized at many Mandapalas and there was a lot of noise. Children and adults made noise by dancing to devotional and folk songs, and  immersed in nearby ponds.
