Meta releases free AI model Llama 2 to Compete with ChatGPT

Meta has entered the arena to compete with open AI, the creator of sensational ChatGPT, and Google’s Beard chatbot.   Google and OpenAI  have developed language models that act as the foundation for Beard chatbots and ChatGPT. They imitated human creativity and skill and turned the world towards them.

Now competing with these two companies, Metagenerative AI has developed a language model called Llama specifically for researchers instead of releasing its products directly to consumers. This Llama is open source. That means its inner workings are different from OpenAI and Google.

Meta CEO Zuckerberg said via Facebook that it encourages open source innovation and gives developers the opportunity to build new technologies. Moreover, the software is said to improve security once it is open. He said that there will be an opportunity to identify and solve problems. This new, powerful version of the metamodel, called Llama 2, is available to any business through the Microsoft Azure cloud.

The Meta is giving access to the  Llama 2 with the support of a broad set of  the companies and the people across academia, tech, and policy who also believe in the open innovation approach to today’ AI technologies.

Llama 2 comprises a collection of the models designed to generate the text and the  code in response to prompts, similar to the existing chatbot like systems.
