Reliance group-owned MI Emirates have signed up Kieron Pollard and Trent Boult and 12 other overseas players in the squad they announced today in the UAE’s ILT20. The league has allowed six participating franchises to have 10 overseas players as direct acquisitions for their line-ups.
The MI Emirates has announced the 14 direct overseas recruitments which include Kieron Pollard, Trent Boult, Imran Tahir, Nicholas Pooran, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Fletcher, Najibullah Zadran, Zahir Khan, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Samit Patel, Will Smeed, Jordan Thompson, Brad Wheal, and Bas De Leede.
Akash M Ambani, chairman of Reliance Jio, the owners of the franchise said in a statement that he is delighted to have the group of 14 players that will be part of their #OneFamily and represent the MI Emirates.
It is known that the same ownership group which grabbed a franchise for Cape Town in South African T20 league has named the pre-signings. The list includes Rashid Khan, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Kagiso Rabada, and Dewald Brevis.
