Ever since megastar Chiranjeevi made announcement regarding his next Telugu project which is remake of Malayalam film Lucifer, it has become the hot topic of discussion in the film industry. Initially Sujeeth of Saaho fame was roped in to helm the remake but he walked out from  Chiranjeevi brought  VV Vinayak on the board but the director became fail to impress Chiranjeevi. Now according to the latest update, Finally Chiranjeevi has roped specialist Mohan Raja for Lucifer remake.

Now  Mohan Raja will be directing the Telugu remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran’ Malayalam directorial, Lucifer in which Chiranjeevi will play the lead role.  Mohan Raja has given his consent and  has also started working on the script.

Mohan Raja is known for directing the  films such as M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, Jayam, Santosh Subramaniam and Thani Oruvan. Meanwhile Mohan Raja was recently signed to direct the Tamil remake of Hindi movie Andhadhun. For reasons yet unknown, last month the makers announced that they have signed JJ Fredrick to make the remake and never revealed why  Mohan Raja opted out of the project- Andhadhun remake.

Mohan Raja had worked only on official remakes and he never been accused of plagiarism. In his first six movies that were remakes, Mohan Raja had credited the writers for their contribution. Meanwhile Chiranjeevi is working for Acharya.
