According to the latest buzz in the film industry, once again Shankar is planning to bring Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on the board to play the villain in his next upcoming directorial venture Indian 2, a sequel to Bharateeyudu. Initially Shankar approached Ajay Devgn to play the main antagonist, though the actor was impressed with his character in Indian 2 but he said no to the makers because of date issues. So Shankar is now approaching Akshay Kumar.
It is heard that the talk has been initiated but nothing is yet finalized. As it is negative role, Shankar is feeling that Akshay Kumar is one who can do justice to it. Earlier both Shankar and Akshay Kumar have worked together for sci-fi movie 2.0 in which Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth played the lead role. Currently the movie is running successfully at the box office. In 2.0, Akshay Kumar played negative role and his performance received superb response. if everything will go accordingly, once again the most Wanted villain Akshay Kumar will be seen playing negative role in Shankar’s directorial venture Indian 2 in which Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal are playing the lead roles.
On the occasion of Sankarnthi, the makers released the first look poster of Indian 2 and confirmed the news that Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2 will go on floors on 18th January 2019. Releasing the first look poster of the highly-anticipated sequel to the 1996 film, the director Shankar confirmed the news with a tagline in the poster that read, “Focus on from January 18”.
Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Indian 2 will see Kamal Haasan reprise his role as freedom fighter Senapathy. The film will have the music by Anirudh Ravichander.
On the other side, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in upcoming movies Housefull 4, Good News and Mission Mangal.
