 Plus Points:

·         Performance

·         Comedy

 Minus Points:

·         Climax

·         Second half

·         Lack of strong emotional depth

·         Screenplay

Performance: Harsha Chemudu delivers fantastic performances and he shines in his debut lead role. The  interactions between Harsha Chemudu and villagers are executed well. The ensemble cast, including Chaitanya as Ojha, Divya Sripada as Myna, and Balakrishna Neelakantapuram as Peddayya, enrich the narrative with their performances.

Technical: The story of this film is very simple. The production values of Sundaram Master are good in this film. All the village setup looks natural. Also the music, cinematography and art work all look natural. The editing is fine. And when it comes to director Kalyan Santhosh, even though he chose a simple storyline, he should have tried to make it more engaging. It would have been better if the hilarious narration, which was mainly continued in the first half, was maintained in the second half as well. Also the climax episode should be designed better.

Analysis: Despite narrative shortcomings, the movie Sundaram Master’ strengths—visuals, performances, and soundtrack make the movie a good-watch. The comedy narration seen in the first half gets dull in the second half. Also, even though there are actors like Divya Sripada and Harsha Vardhan, but few scenes on them are not that effective. Also the slow narration tests a bit of patience.
