The life of former Sri Lankan cricketer and spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan is going to be on the silver screen. The first look motion poster of this biopic titled The 800 was released on Monday. In this first look, hero Madhur Mittal looks similar to Acha Muraleedharan. The motion poster shows the cheering of the audience in the cricket stadium.
The wicket bails flying and hero Madhur Mittal being seen behind them is quite interesting. MS Sripathy is directing the biopic. The director announced that he is going to reveal the unknown story of Muttiah Muralitharan to the world through this biopic. It has been announced that 800 The Movie are going to be released this year.
800 The Movie will be released in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages. The movie is being produced by Vivek Rangachari under the banner of Movie Train Motion Pictures. Ghibran is rendering the tune and it has the cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and editing by Praveen KL. The release date and other key details will be out soon.
Initially Muthammaiah Muralidharan biopic was announced with Vijay Sethupathi. The first look was also released but Vijay Sethupathi’s acting in this biopic received severe opposition from Kollywood. In Sri Lanka, there are allegations that Muralidharan helped the Tamil separatists and the government in the fight.
