Sukumar’ magnum opus Pushpa 2 is one of the keenly anticipated films in Indian cinema, all thanks to the blockbuster success of Pushpa: The Rise. The budget allocated for Icon star Allu Arjun’ and Rashima Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2 is much bigger than that of the first part. The film will be mounted on a grand scale.
Pushpa: The Rise was surprise hit in Bollywood. The action drama gave a shock to the trade pundits and now all eyes are on its second part. The sources say that the shoot of Pushpa: The Rule will commence in the month of July in the Maredumalli forests. The producers of Mythri Movie Makers have allotted close to Rs 400 cr budget. What’s special is that Mythri Movie Makers will be holding back the Hindi release rights of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2. There is a strong buzz in the film industry that the producers have decided to hold back the Hindi rights.
Sukumar is done with the story and is penning the screenplay. He is planning to wrap up the entire shoot by the end of January 2023.
The digital streaming rights of Pushpa 2 are in great demand. Two top OTT platforms- Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar are said to be fighting it out to acquire the post-theatrical digital streaming rights of Allu Arjun starrer. It is known that Pushpa: The Rise is streaming on Amazon Prime Video now.
