The movie Naane Varuvean had its theatrical release on 29th September. It received the positive reviews on its release day by the movie lovers and the critics.
On the day 1, Dhanush starrer Naane Varuvean made about Rs 7 to 8 Crore box office collection from all over the country including revenue from the dubbed versions. Dhanush starrer was dubbed and released in Telugu as Nene Vasthunna.
Naane Varuven also has Indhuja Ravichandran, Prabhu, Shelly Kishore, Yogi Babu, Selvaraghavan, and Saravan Subbaiah among others in crucial roles. Kalaipuli S Thanu produced the film under the banner of V Creations. This is the first time Tamil star Dhanush has written and Selvaraghavan has directed a film.
