Nadhiya who has been the part of several hit movies like Prabhas Starrer Mirchi, Nithiin & Samantha’s A..Aa and Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi, is set to play the role of ex-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in NTR biopic. According to the latest buzz in the film Industry, Nadhiya has been approached to essay the role of India’s First and only woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. If everything will go accordingly, she will be seen in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NTR biopic in the direction of Teja. The director is a huge NTR and MGR fan and the fact that he recently made a political film (Nene Raju Nenu Mantri starring Rana Daggubati and Kajal Aggarwal) makes him the perfect choice for the project.
When late Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao faces the crucial period during his initial political days, the role of Indira Gandhi was important. So the makers approached Nadhiya who is a performer as well as a stylish actor to suit the late PM.
The sources say that it’s a crucial role since there is quite a lot of political interaction and dialogue between Indira Gandhi and NTR. So the makers are keen to cast someone who is not just a performer but also a stylish personality.
Interestingly, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is also planning to make a biopic on the late actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
