Naga Babu who has not contributed much on Allu Arjun starrer disaster movie Naa Peru Surya, has got Rs 5 Cr shares from the producers.
Stylish Star Allu Arjun starrer recently released movie Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India has turned out disaster at the box office. The action and romantic entertainer has completed its run at the box office and has earned Rs 50+ cr shares. Its worldwide theatrical rights were sold out for Rs 80 Cr whereas the movie recovered less than 65 percent. According to the latest update, Naga Babu who did not spent a penny on the film, has received Rs 5 Cr as his shares from the producers.
The producers of Naa Peru Surya have been able to make profits because of the movie did good pre-release business, and they have even shared the profits with Naga Babu. It is heard that the producers got Rs 15 to 20 Cr profits through Naa Peru Surya pre-release business. The movie was directed by Vakkantham Vamsi and jointly produced by Lagadapati Sridhar and Bunny Vasu, under the banner of Ramalakshmi Cine Creations. They made Naga Babu a partner in Naa Peru Surya and gave him the title of presenter.
The sources close to the makers reveal that though Naga Babu has not contributed much on this film but he got Rs 5 Cr shares from the producers of Naa Peru Surya whereas Bunny Vass, the other producer of the film is said to have suffered losses.
Anu Emmanuel played the love interest of Allu Arjun in Naa Peru Surya and apart from the lead pair, the film has other stars like Arjun Sarja, Sarath Kumar, Posani Krishna Murali, Nadhiya, Thakur Anoop Singh , Boman Irani and Elli Avram in supporting roles.
Naga Babu debuted as a producer with Rudraveena on the banner Anjana Productions which won the National Award, He has produced eight movies- Rudraveena, Trinetrudu, Mugguru Monagallu, Bavagaru Bagunnara?, Kouravudu, Gudumba Shankar, Stalin and Orange. As an actor Naga Babu was last seen in Jawaan starring Sai Dharam Tej and Mehreen Pirzada, which was released in 2017 and Naga Babu played the role of Police Commissioner in B. V. S. Ravi’s directorial venture.
