Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu has joined the sets of his upcoming film #SSMB28 which is progressing at the brisk pace under the direction of creative and talented film maker Trivikram Srinivas. In the Telugu promotions of The Life of Muthu, director Gautham Menon gave a huge shock to everyone. Gautham Menon revealed that Mahesh Babu was the first choice for superhit love film Ye Maaya Chesave which is Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa in Tamil. He first narrated the story to Mahesh Babu’ sister Manjula. She was not happy with the script but asked him to narrate Mahesh.
When Gautham Menon narrated the plot to Mahesh Babu, he politely rejected the movie by saying no. So the role fell in Naga Chaitanya’ lap. Sarkaru Vaari Paata star asked Gautham to come up with action drama.
Gautham Menon added that he was just thinking about the Tamil version at that time and later it was made into a bilingual with different actors.
Ye Maaya Chesave is a romantic drama film which has Naga Chaitanya and Samantha in the lead roles and it was produced by Manjula Ghattamaneni under the banner Indira Productions with soundtrack composed by AR Rahman. The film had cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, and editing by Anthony Gonsalves.
